Speaking of Inspiration...

Coloring books for adults are a hot trend in publishing right now. They're touted as a therapeutic activity to de-stress and increase mindfulness.

I bought myself a Secret Garden by Johanna Basford last November. I was actually looking for inspiration for my Christmas collection at that time. I passed by the window display at Kinokuniya bookstore and saw two coloring books: Secret Garden and Lost Ocean. Out of curiousity, I went inside the bookstore to take a closer look at these books. I was amused to flip through her gorgeous illustrations especially this Secret Garden which related to nature, garden, floral, tree, leaves... you get what I mean ;)

And then, here's my kind of Secret Garden... full of gemstones and crystals ❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍

The idea and inspiration of my last Christmas collection [ Christmas in the Garden ] was a perfect fusion between this Secret Garden coloring book and working vacation to Korea last October.

Speaking of inspiration, may people asked me where do I find my idea when designing a collection. Well my inspiration usually comes from everywhere... vague isn't it? But that's the truth. From watching TV shows, dramas or movies (even concerts!), listening to podcasts and conversations, flipping through magazines, until scrolling through other people's feeds. I absorb all of these experiences and apply them to my needs. There are so many beautiful things in life that we can learn and find the calls.

How about you? How do you find your inspiration?
