I have shared a post before about cleansing crystals with moonlight. Just a few days ago, I found this perfect guide for all types of cleansing method and charging your crystals that you might try!
Thanks to The Crystal Tree who provides such complete guide!
Here’s the list of FULL MOON in 2017.
Bookmark these dates and do remember to cleanse your crystals periodically.
Sharing this little tips that I read from Crystal Guidance.
By the word “cleanse” it means an energetic cleansing, not a physical one. When we work with a crystal, it can absorb some of the negative energy and change its vibrational frequency. You want to help them get their energy and vibrational frequency back to its original perfect state.
To do so, put your crystal jewelry, pendants and bracelets that you wear all the time (or new pieces that you just bought) on a tray and leave them outside to cleansing or re-tuning crystals in the moonlight. If you can’t put them outside, you can put them in front of your window where moonlight can come into. The energy is still around us. Bring them inside in the morning.
It’s okay if you can’t put them out on the day of the full moon. The lunar energy is at its strongest for three days. The day before, the day of the full moon, and the day after. You can put them out any of those three days. Check out this link to know the exact dates for full moon calendar.
P.S. Crystals love moonlight!

I'd like to introduce my good friend, Yaching Lan from Taiwan, who does handmade leather products - under her brand: TzaBa 喳吧. We first known each other three years ago when we participated in a handmade market in Macau, also we've been together to Japan to participate Design Festa in Tokyo last year (blog post here). On my trip to Taiwan last month, I visited her studio in Keelung. I couldn't help but to share this lovely space with you...
Her studio fills with rustic rural ambiance (she loves vintage things!) with all wooden furniture and the smell of genuine leathers. The neat and minimalist interior accompanied by soft music playing, makes the atmosphere even more cozy. It's definitely a small space full of warmness and laughter.
TzaBa utilizes genuine leather to create lifestyle products such as: card holders, bracelets, books, notebooks, keychains, vase decorations, stationery cases, variety of bags and many more creative goods. The main principal behind the brand is to use leftover leathers as the main media, retaining the original look of leathers, without wasting any parts to make the most out of it to craft them into freestyle design products.
Once in a while, TzaBa also holds mini DIY classes for people who would like to make something for themselves. Items to be made could be arranged by Yaching, or based from customer's needs.
One of the most favorite items is the keychain for charity. Made of leftover leather slices, customers are welcome to choose the pieces they like and Yaching will stamp the words they requested. All revenues from these keychains will be donated to charity association in Taiwan. Isn't that great? I'm touched by her sincere intention, thus, ordered some pieces for Christmas gifts to you (check my previous post where I show how I combined with stones and charms, and how to get one for free).
Yaching is the most calm and polite woman I know! If you happen to go to Keelung, you might as well visit her studio and have a chit chat with her!

SAPPHIRE is known as "The Stone of Wisdom". It brings lightness and joy and expands intuitive knowledge, guiding one toward the fulfillment of their dreams and desires. It helps one stay on the spiritual path and speak their truth. It's said to heal the eyes, calm and detox the body and remove stress.
The September birthstone - Sapphire, comes in a range of colors: blue, violet, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple and intermediate hues. The gem belongs to the mineral species corundum: corundum is colorless, but trace elements or color centers (small defects in the atomic structure of a mineral that can absorb light and impart color to the stone) can turn colorless corundum into colorful Sapphire. Red corundum is the only color not called Sapphire; corundum with this color is Ruby.
Throughout history, Sapphire has symbolized truth, sincerity and loyalty. It is also thought to bring peace, joy and wisdom to its wearer. In the past, the Sapphire was also believed to be a talisman that would protect against evil spirits and other unsavory creatures of the night. The ancients regarded Star Sapphires as powerful talismans that could protect travelers and seekers. These talismans were considered to be so powerful, that they would continue protecting the wearer even after they had been passed on to another person.
Sapphires come from: Kashmir, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Madagascar (Africa), and other areas of the world. Sapphire is beautiful, symbolizes noble qualities and is the gemstone for the fifth wedding anniversary.

I stumbled upon this interesting article about crystals for travel from Happiest When Exploring blog written by Erica - a travel blogger based in Montreal.
Healing crystals are great travel companions and can be utilized in promoting a safe journey, arrival and adventure. Crystals radiate frequency and energy because they are living creatures, like you and me. I believe that crystals can be integrated into our daily lives and daily quests, and our travels. If you’re new to crystals, a great resource is Doreen Virtue’s Crystal Therapy pocket guide. Without further ado, let’s jump in!
✨ 7 Crystals for Travel: Protection, Grounding and Calming
Hibiscus Moon (an amazing resource for learning about crystals) explains that Turquoise is the traveler's companion and a good protector. It was traditionally given to people getting ready to go on a long journey.
Malachite is one of the stones most known and recognized for travel protection. Malachite is an especially powerful gemstone offering protection from accidents and protection for air travel. Besides being among the most powerful protection stones, Malachite makes for a great travel partner because it absorbs negative energy and pollutants, has soothing properties, and helps eliminate fear associated with flying. With Malachite taking care of the gross plane air, easing your tension and taking care of any fears you might have about flying, the stone will (as a result!) help with jet lag.
Hematite is a grounding stone and can help get rid of jet lag. Hibiscus Moon explains in a short video an effective way to be relieved of jet lag by using Hematite. Check out the link!
Angelite isn’t traditionally a travel stone but it is a protection stone. It promotes peace and helps in connecting with the higher self, your intuition, psychic abilities – whatever you want to call it. I believe that if you are connected to your highest self and intuition, then you are protected from harmful situations and interactions, as well as negative energies or encounters.
Amethyst is another go-to stone for travellers. Amethyst protects the wearer while traveling and even from thieves! If crystals are new to you (or even if they aren’t), this probably sounds a little far-fetched.
I like Howlite for travel because it is a calming stone. Howlite decreases stress or anxiety for the wearer and even helps with insomnia. If you tend to be a little more nervous or anxious, this is a great stone for you when you travel.
7. Blue Lace Agate
Blue Lace Agate is a more subtle, supportive stone. Blue Lace Agate has a harmonizing energy, balancing the emotions and natural forces, and encourages self-confidence – all important components in successful and safe travel!
You may find the above complete script on Happiest When Exploring blog.
Indonesia Hari Raya Idul Fitri holiday is fast approaching in less than three weeks! Do you have any vacation plan? Why don't you pick and bring one of these crystals, whether to wear as jewelry or to keep them inside your pouch, and feel the magic happen! ✨
In this post, I would like to share the facts and lores of 3 powerful gemstones:
The Master Healer - Rock / Quartz Crystal, Stone of Love - Rose Quartz, and June Birthstone - Pearl.
To read more about fascinating healing properties of other gemstones, please visit this site.
ROCK / QUARTZ CRYSTAL - The "Stone of Manifesting". It is the most powerful healing, cleanser and amplifying crystal. It is able to store information and used as a programming receptor. This master healer vibrational connects the physical to mental and spiritual level. It harmonizes the chakras and all functional systems of the body.
Rock Crystal is commonly regarded in shamanistic practice as a "light-stone", and instrument of clairvoyance representing a level intermediate between the visible and the invisible. Rock Crystal was traditionally used by Australian Aborigines and the Prairie Indians of North America as a talisman and to produce visions. The Navajo believed it to be Rock Crystal that first caused the Sun to cast its light upon the world. In ancient times it was believed that Rock Crystal was ice that had frozen too hard to melt.
ROSE QUARTZ - The “Stone of Power and Influence” and attracts the true essence of love. It is the most important crystal of the heart. It purifies and brings deep inner healing, inner personal strength, self-love, self-trust and self-worth. Emotionally, it comforts grief, soothes pain and it is considered one of the finest healing stones. It harmonizes the heart to the soul, providing pathways of communication to the higher self.
Rose Quartz has been carved since ancient times, and in modern times it has been used by “crystals healers”, who attribute the properties of unconditional love and emotional healing to it if it is placed against the skin.
PEARL - The “Stone of Sincerity”. Although formed from an oyster, it signifies purity, faith and spiritual guidance. Pearls enhance loyalty and bring sincerity. It relieves digestive conditions, increases fertility and ease childbirth.
Pearl is a concretion formed by a mollusc and consisting of the same material as the mollusc's shell, which is principally the mineral aragonite. In addition to aragonite, the shell contains small amounts of conchiolin, a horn-like organic substance; together they called nacre, or mother-of-pearl.
Cultured pearls are those that have been grown on a pearl farm. Tiny sphere of mother-of-pearl is implanted in the mantle of the nacre-producing mollusc, which is then placed in the waters of the farm. The oyster forms a pearl around the tiny sphere, which is then harvested up to two years later.

I found this article on Pinterest from About.com about using crystals as good feng shui:
Crystals are used in feng shui in a variety of ways, all with one single goal - to create good feng shui energy in your home. The word crystal comes from the Greek word krystallos, meaning frozen light.
Crystals have been used over the centuries for a myriad of purposes - from healing to protection to decoration. In feng shui, crystals are widely used for the specific energy, or the vibrations they bring to your home or office.
For example, the Rose Quartz crystal is used to attract love and romance, as well as heal a broken heart. Feng shui wise, the Rose Quartz crystal emanates specific frequencies that promote heart healing. Black Tourmaline and Hematite have strong protective energies, while Citrine helps heal self-esteem issues, as well as attract wealth and abundance.

This article is written by Liza Urla, a jewellery blogger under her blog GEMOLOGUE - featuring exquisite global discoveries, trendy urban street style, exclusive interviews and rare jewellery reviews – a celebration of fine jewellery, fashion jewellery and vintage jewellery.
BEQUEATHED BY JOHN JONES, MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE, ROOM 64A AT
The next time you stop and admire the paintings of the masters, notice the jewellery. It plays an important role in every painting, and holds a hidden depth of meaning rooted in symbolism. Art in the Middle Ages, when Carlo Crivelli created this masterpiece in 1480, was deeply symbolic. Every detail had significance and meaning, and this symbolism would’ve been easily understood by anyone of the time.
WHAT DO PEARLS AND RUBIES SYMBOLIZE IN THIS PAINTING?
As a symbol of her purity, the Virgin Mary wears pearls like a crown around her head. A ruby on her forehead with blood-like hue reminds us of the blood of Christ and his martyrdom. Did you notice the one pearl that’s different from all the rest? I wonder what that means…?
Philippe de Thaon wrote an allegory about the Virgin that alludes to gemstones and pearls in his Bestiaries. He compared the oyster creating a pearl from dew that it has swaggered to the Virgin Mary’s miraculous conception of the Christ Child.

I found this interesting article about gemstone durability from GIA 4Cs blog and thought to share it with you, gemstones lover!
1. Gemstone Hardness = resistance to scratches and abrasions
A gemstone’s hardness is a good indicator of how well it will resist scratches and abrasions. The Mohs scale ranks gems on a relative scale based on their scratch hardness, so although corundum (ruby or sapphire) is a 9, a diamond at 10 is many times harder. Only a diamond can scratch a diamond. Corundum can scratch itself, topaz (8), quartz (7), and anything softer. Topaz can scratch itself, quartz (7), and anything lower on the scale.
2. Gemstone Toughness = resistance to breaking and chipping
The way the atoms of a gem bond together and the strength of these bonds determine a gemstone’s toughness, or how well a gemstone resists breaking and chipping.
3. Gemstone Stability = resistance to chemicals, heat, humidity and light
Stability refers to how well a gemstone can withstand exposure to chemicals, light, and changes in temperature or humidity. Some key causes of gemstone damage include:
Gemstones have been revered for their beauty and durability for thousands of years. Properly cared for, they become the treasured heirlooms that survive generations. So that you can best care for your gemstones, know their properties and qualities and keep your fine jewelry in good repair.

I found this great article about Crystal Forecast for 2016 from Energy Muse blog, and I thought to share this helpful information with you!
February 8, Chinese New Year - the year of Fire Monkey begins. The characteristics of a Monkey are intelligence, impulsiveness, ambitious, lightheartedness and mischievous. There are a few overall energies that will be present in 2016 due to the energy of the fire monkey.
From a numerical standpoint, 2016 is a nine year (adding 2+0+1+6=9). Symbolically, the number nine is considered a universal number, filled with spiritual energy and completing a cycle. However, as one cycle ends, a new one begins. 2016 is a year of transparency, allowing the truth to set you free. Letting go of people, things or thought forms that are holding you back from moving forward. There is an emphasis on what works and no longer works in our lives, so the mantra “let go and let be” will be crucial to our personal growth.
Due to the energies that will be present throughout the year, there are certain healing crystals that will prove to by your allies through 2016. The first crystal that will be extremely helpful in 2016 is Rose Quartz - the stone of unconditional love. This pink stone reminds us that as we forgive others and our self, we become lighter and happier.
Shungite - the stone that has been referred to as the Miracle Stone of the 21st Century, will be extremely helpful in 2016. This is a stone of neutrality. It reminds us when we are out of balance to stop, take a breath and take the time to get centered. Each one of us can change the world, but we must start with first with our self. If we become scattered, angry, frustrated, guilty or depressed, we hold this energy within and emit this energy outward. Shungite helps us to get back on track.
Aquamarine holds the energy and fluidity of the sea within it. From a classical Feng Shui perspective, the number eight, which brings prosperity, falls into the southwest this year. The southwest is associated with water. Having water in the exterior southwest quadrant of your home, or wearing the energy of water in the form of aquamarine, will be very auspicious this year.
Meditation is the ultimate power for 2016. Holding a piece of Quartz Crystal or Selenite elevates your meditation practice. These are highly evolved stones with a high vibration. They help to clear the mind of clutter and negative self-talk. Staying in a place of calmness and balance will bring true wealth in 2016.
Lastly, embrace the energy of Angelite - the stone of angels. It helps to attract angels and to remind you that you are never alone. It gives a gentle and loving reminder that we are all spiritual beings of light having a human experience. Humans put labels on things based on race, religion, politics, beliefs, food etc. The angels just love — no labels needed. Angelite is a gentle stone with a loving message.
2016 will be an exciting year filled with transparency, planetary evolvement, new scientific advancements, endings and beginnings, reemergence of the divine feminine, mental power and oneness. Our common connection is that we all live on this planet earth. The energy of the earth holds information, spiritual wisdom and calmness. Hold onto healing crystals—pieces of the Earth, in 2016 to make it a year filled of transformation, protection, prosperity, health and love.

Hey there! It's a quick reminder for you! :)
So tonight is the first FULL MOON in 2016 - January 24th to be exact.

Above is the list of full moon 2016 to remember...
Read on why you should and how to cleanse your crystals:
Recently, I found this video documentary on The Atlantic Philanthropies website, produced by RTÉ Factual, which describes the life of Chuck Feeney, an Irish-American businessman and philanthropist and the founder of The Atlantic Philanthropies, one of the largest private foundations in the world.
"I had one idea that never changed in my mind—that you should use your wealth to help people. I try to live a normal life, the way I grew up," Feeney said. "I set out to work hard, not to get rich." A report explaining Feeney's "Giving While Living" approach to philanthropy and its lasting impact on the philanthropic community was issued by The Atlantic Philanthropies in 2010. It profiles Feeney as well as other philanthropists who give in this manner and the impact of their grant-making. -taken from Wikipedia
It was really an inspiring documentary story that I'd like to share with you. Watch this video:
Part of my raw crystals collection ✨✨✨
My fav? Its that light blue crystal - Celestite on top! Other beauties I am sharing here are: the purple Amethyst, clear Crystal Quartz points, raw Kyanite, sphere blue Sandstone, few tumbled stones and raw Azurite.
I've collected them just in recent years, mostly from Japan, Korea and Taiwan while I was hunting for jewelry materials, but these raw stones ended as my private collection only. Haha!
In addition to this post, I found this interesting article from Free People blog about 10 Ways to Use Healing Crystals, dedicated for stones and crystals lovers...
Since ancient times, crystals have been used as a beautiful way to heal, protect, and enhance the mind, body, and soul. Even if you don’t happen to believe in these magical healing powers, it’s hard to deny their beauty.
My favorite is the number 5: Make a zen garden.
If you want to take the bowl idea in a different direction, make your own zen garden! Fill a bowl with sand, and carefully arrange some smaller crystals, mixing them with anything else you desire — dried flowers, feathers, and tealight candles are some of my favorites.
So which one will you try? :)

November is about CITRINE - the alternate birthstone of November (primary birthstone: Topaz),
also the accepted birthstone for the 13th and 17th wedding anniversary.
Citrine is a yellow-golden stone belonging to the quartz family. The term ‘citrine’ is derived from a French word ‘citron’ that means lemon, referring to the color of the stone.
HISTORICAL AND MYTHS
In ancient times, this magnificent stone has enjoyed the reputation of the ‘merchant’s stone’ and the myth goes on to say that carrying it during sales was supposed to attract wealth. This belief was probably subjected to its gold-like appearance. Moreover, medieval people had a strong belief in Citrine’s medical and mystical qualities as well. It was believed that the power of this stone will help a patient in recovering from heart, kidney, liver and stomach problems.
In many cultures, wearing Citrine is quite natural in jewelry. Although it’s preferable and stronger to wear it in contact with the skin, wearing it in earrings also works. If you wish to use it in a room, place large stones in the four corners; but only in a room that requires high energy, not one in which you sleep.

Check out this cool video from National Geographic about How Gemstones Are Formed!
Today I am going to share some information I found from other sources about this popular gemstone - AMETHYST
For thousands of years, Amethyst was considered to be an important part of royal collections.
The Egyptians, and especially the Greeks, were obsessed with this natural wonder. To them, it was a symbol of power.
As time went by, the Christian church also favored amethyst for their Bishops as a symbol of Christ.
THE GREEK STORY
According to Greek mythology, an intoxicated Dionysus (the god of wine and rituals) became infuriated with a young virgin named Amethyst.
When the girl asked the goddess Diana for help, she turned Amethyst into a beautiful white stone to protect her. Feeling sorry for his actions, Dionysus began to cry, and his tears fell into his cup of wine.
The cup overturned and spilled onto the stone, covering it completely until it became the Amethyst we know today.
Amethyst has been prized for its healing abilities for thousands of years in the ancient world.
HOW TO USE AMETHYST
Like all gemstones and precious jewels, Amethyst should be worn in close contact with the skin- especially with the left side of the body, which is the receptive side.
Amethyst malas are especially easy to do this with. However, earrings and necklaces can also be effective.
